Benton Pediatrics is your child’s Medical Home

We are happy to inform you that Benton Pediatrics has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient Centered Medical Home. At Benton Pediatrics, we have always delivered comprehensive team healthcare and will continue our dedication to providing state of the art care.

What is a Medical Home?

A Medical Home is a team-based approach to healthcare. Together, we will continue to work to coordinate the services your child needs and to provide the best healthcare possible for your child.

What are the changes I can anticipate?

Team Based Care

You will still be able (and encouraged!) to choose your child’s Primary Care Provider (PCP).  Your child will continue to have access to our team of other PCPs, nurses, and support staff at Benton Pediatrics as we work to provide all of your child’s healthcare needs.

All of your child’s care is in an electronic health record, you are able to access your health information through a patient portal.

 Healthcare Access:

  • As always, our clinicians will see your child on the very day he/she has an urgent healthcare need, if you call before noon. You will simply call the office at (352) 376-4542 during working hours to schedule a same-day appointment with us.
  • Routine and follow-up care will be provided in a timely manner and can be arranged by calling our team directly.
  • We will be monitoring your child’s medical needs and will proactively contact you to schedule follow-up appointments at a convenient time for you.
  • Your Medical Home Team here at Benton Pediatrics will continue to help coordinate your follow-up and specialty appointments.

Improved Communication and Access to Information:

  • You can communicate with a staff member of Benton Pediatrics anytime during normal working hours by calling (352) 376-4542.
  • Our website is available at BentonPediatrics.com, it is designed to help you gain access to your child’s healthcare needs via the patient portal.
